Duck Fans Must Remember the Lesson Darron Thomas Taught Boise State

In the Ducks' next two games they'll face young quarterbacks, as Jake Locker and Kevin Riley are out for the season. Keith Price and Brock Mansion take over.

Ask Boise State 2008, or USC '94: young quarterbacks are dangerous, because they don't know what they don't know.

Young quarterbacks sling it. Young quarterbacks improvise, run around, and make plays on the fly. Beware of the young athlete with no memory of failure. He will be instinctual and fearless and brash, because he doesn't have a yesterday, a downside or a care in the world.

The best antidote to a young quarterback is a relentless pass rush. Brandon Bair and Kenny Rowe have to introduce him to the PAC-10.

If the Ducks can shut down Chris Polk and Shane Vereen, they can make the next two games very miserable for a couple of young qbs.
