A big part of the Auburn hype

This will be settled on the field in 8 days, but the pundits and SEC fans keep saying the Tigers are clearly and markedly better because they've played better competition. Monday night's Sugar and Orange Bowls, featuring Arkansas and Stanford, should provide a less subjective read on the two conferences.

The SEC hasn't been dominant so far this bowl season. If Oregon and Stanford win, perceptions ought to change. They'd finish 1 and 3, and start next season in the the top five--provided Harbaugh and Luck stay put.

I think Stanford will win big, and Pryor and Ohio State will come out with something to prove in the Sugar Bowl.

Really disappointed to see Pryor pop off towards Herbstreit. With the trouble and embarrassment he caused for his school, he should have played the humility card on that one. It was a sign of immaturity.
