Dipping into the Tuesday Duck dots

...On Monday the Ducks added a commitment from Jack Ressler, a three-star wide receiver from Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. Ressler has been a starter and team captain for the Monarchs, who won the high school national championship in 2021.

He's Oregon's fourth commitment at wide receiver and 16th overall, joining a class that sits at #5 nationally. Teammate Nate Frazier (RB) makes an official visit this weekend, while 5-star Mater Dei offensive tackle Brandon Baker attended Oregon's spring game.

Ressler is smart, quick and tough, a scrappy inside receiver who goes over the middle. He's been prolific and efficient in a lineup loaded with stars. Last season he grabbed 42 passes for 534 yards and 4 touchdowns for the 12-1 Monarchs, averaging 12.7 yards per catch.

...A day earlier the Ducks secured a commitment from in-state offensive lineman Devin Brooks of Clackamas High School, 6-4, 290. Brooks is athletic and versatile, great footwork. He has the size and agility to develop into a Division One offensive tackle. He chose Oregon over USC and Washington, joining an offensive line class that includes Fox Crader of Vancouver, Washington and 6-7, 300 Trent Ferguson of West Salem.

With offensive linemen it's all about the development. A'lique Terry has been busy and productive, putting together a group he can train and trust. Already Brooks has shown the dedication to improve his game, the agility to get out in front of a running back and block at the second level.

...This weekend Lanning and the Ducks will host 5-star Edge Rusher Elijah Rushing, 4-star running back Frazier, Burley, Idaho wideout Gatlin Bair, a receiver with 10.15 speed in the 100 meters, and 4-star offensive tackle Isaiah Garcia of Corner Canyon High School in Draper Utah. Safety Kingston Lopa arrives Friday, a rangy ballhawk from Sacramento, California, 6-5, 190.
