Future Ducks getting it done on the high school gridiron

When Camden Lewis graduates after this season, the Ducks have lined up a kicker for the future. Chris Sailer Camp 5-star Gage Hurych shined in West Linn's 37-0 victory over Nelson. Andrew Nemec of the 1080 The Fan recruiting show and Scorebook Live reported that Hurych went 3-for-3 on field goals and 4-for-4 on extra point attempts

What's more, he booted all eight kickoffs into the endzone for touchbacks and had his only punt of the day downed inside the 5-yard line, showing leg strength, poise, consistency and smarts in his season opener.

2025 Oregon commit Adrian Wilson, a four-star receiver from Weiss High School in Pflugerville, Texas had a great night for the Wolfpack. He hauled in four passes for 89 yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile his brother from another mother, 2025 receiver Dallas Wilson of Tampa Bay Tech in Tampa Bay, Florida was elevated this week from the number 59 recruit in the nation to 24, earning his 5th star on the 247 Composite. The smooth 6-3, 180-pound Wilson caught 40 passes for 875 yards and 12 touchdowns as a sophomore.

The Ducks have their season opener Saturday, but Max Torres of Ducks Digest reported that wide receiver coach Junior Adams made a quick flight to Long Beach to watch the Mission Viejo versus Long Beach Poly game. He saw 2024 Oregon linebacker Dylan Williams make this stop:
There's a good chance "the Wilson twins" (not actually related) will be very happy in Eugene. Their 2025 quarterback Akili Smith jr. tossed scoring passes of 99 and 83 yards in a big victory over St. Bonaventure. Last week he threw for four TDs in the first half of a blowout win. The Hornets start their season 3-0.

Smith jr. and 2024 quarterback recruit Luke Moga have combined to throw for 16 touchdowns already in the young season.
