Are We There Yet?

You've pulled the ticket out of the drawer ten times, checked the email with your plane reservation fifteen. You've stared out the window with a sigh, like the Duck at his desk in the ESPN commercial.

Is it Monday yet?

Here are some links to keep you occupied. You weren't getting any work done anyway.

Aaron Fentress of the Oregonian has an excellent article on the evolution of the Oregon spread.

Duck Soup has a Special Teams highlight video. Special teams could be huge in the national championship game, and the Ducks have a significant edge there. He also has a video interview with Mike Bellotti on Oregon's rise to prominence, and an ESPN feature on Oregon's speed and the spread, "The Science of Oregon Speed."

ESPN reports Andrew Luck is staying at Stanford. Surprising, but refreshing decision. Sets up a dynamic year in the PAC-12 next season, with the Rodgers brothers, LaMichael James and Luck all likely to return. The PAC-12 could be the premier conference is college football next year, at least the most entertaining. Joe Schad reports Luck passed up what likely would have been a 60 million dollar contract. Blaine Gabbert and Ryan Mallett just stepped up to a bigger pay day. I'm sure they'll send the Stanford Heisman trophy candidate a congratulatory text on his announcement.
