One Last Day to Win

Oregon's coaches and players have maintained a beady-eyed focus on winning the day, on taking each step of this journey with total attention.

Hard to believe we've come to the moment when all the effort and expectation culminates, either with the completion of a dream or a cautionary tale.

Playing the natty is another thing altogether. Getting there is today's dream, today's task. But it's clear the Ducks aren't even thinking of that as the goal or the purpose.

They just want to win this football game, and beat Oregon State.

Headed to the gym for a pregame workout, then I'm in my chair to watch Game 7 of the World Series, your first date, SAT test and a seven year old's Christmas morning all rolled into one.
