Halftime

James 12-84 yards. Barner 10-85. Stephen Paea, a big worry before the game, has not been a big factor. Ex-Duck Dominick Glover has provided some pressure, disrupting the passing game.

Ridiculous that a school from the Big East is guaranteed a BCS bowl, and Stanford or Michigan State might not get one. It would be nice if TCU, Stanford, the Fiesta Bowl and the Rose can negotiate a trade, get a Stanford-Wisconsin Rose Bowl. That would be a great game, a classic confrontation.

Darron Thomas has not kept the ball once today. With Barner, James and Huff running loose, he hasn't had to.

Oregon has been dominant in yards, but just adequate in points. They need a couple of scores to put this game away and break Oregon State's spirit. They can't let them hang around and give something weird a chance to happen.

Ducks get the ball first in the second half.

Cam Newton ices the Heisman. Auburn leads 21-7 in the second quarter.
