Live Game Blog, 4th Quarter

The point per minute pace is still intact after 3 games, with 69-0 in the books at the end of three. That makes 189 points so far in 3 games, but Vontaze Burfict and crew will be aiming to halve that production average in game 4.

Invaluable to get Hawkins a full quarter of snaps, as well as the reserve lineman.

Harrington and Newman rightly laud the PSU guys for still working hard and showing effort. They pick up a fumble from Reed and prevent another score. Reed's knee got twisted at a nasty angle on the replay.

Reed has 7-56 off the bench, but you fumble my football I will break my foot off in your John Brown hind parts. Bonus points if you recognize the movie reference.

Chad Peppars with a Cliff Harris-like break up on third and 16, and Harris has his fourth touchdown of the year called back by a block in the back. Coach Osborne has lost control of the punt team.

Tennessee faded again in the second half and goes down to the Gators 31-17. That hurts the Ducks SOS, which will be an issue as the year goes on. You can't do anything about the schedule, but it won't help them.

Reed back in the game; which I'm glad to see. Reed rumbles free on the zone read going left. 101 yards for him now.

Never mind the Duck and the pushups. How about the poor trombone player's lips?

Alston tries to do an LMJ move and reverse field. You have to have 0-60 speed to pull that one off.

Dustin Haines in at quarterback, no, running back. Needless to say, every player not redshirting is getting snaps, which means definitively that Seastrunk, Williams, Mathis and Mitchell are definitely redshirting, and Curtis White is thus far on track to redshirt, although nothing is official until the bowl game is played.

Final in Corvallis 35-28. The Beavers are resurgent! They start slow but finish fast! Oregon is all hype, and the Beavers are all substance, a lunch pail team. Let the flaming begin.

More than any other defensive back in recent Oregon history, Cliff Harris turns into a receiver when the ball is in the air.

Deepest penetration of the second half for the Vikings, and the shutout is in jeopardy.

Credit again to the Vikings for staying competitive. They have more heart than a lot of teams would show in this situation, more heart than Cal or USC displayed this weekend.

West Virginia with a solid win over Maryland 31-17.

Texas and Texas Tech tied 14-14 in the second.

Disagree with Burton's decision to go for it on fourth and one. Kick the field goal. Get on the board, salvage that for your offense. I understand the competitive pride in going for it, but I'd put the points up.

This typing is exhausting. I need a sandwich.

#14 Utah up 13-0 on New Mexico in the second. Lobos hanging in there, but outscored 136-17 so far this year. Another looming hit for the SOS. Oregon's two FBS non-conference opponents probably won't have more than six wins between them this season.

Clemson now 17-9 over Auburn midway through the third quarter.

Scott Grady tries to sell a pick, but the officials caught the bounce. Then on the final play Brian Jackson intercepts.

Final: Oregon 69, PSU 0.
