Heisman candidates Ryan Mallett, Denard Robinson and Taylor Martinez all left the game early today with injuries, something you never want to see.  Michigan and Nebraska were upended by Iowa and Texas.

Wisconsin runs the opening kickoff back for a touchdown against Ohio State.

Auburn’s Cam Newton has another huge day against Arkansas, passing for 140 and running for 192, accounting for two touchdowns in the fourth quarter.  Auburn will go to  7-0, leading 58-43 late,  and he has to be the new Heisman favorite.

Wonder how much missing one game and a likely 150 yards will ultimately do to LMJ’s chances.  Not that the stiff arm trophy is the measure of the season.

Biggest news on the scoreboard so far: Nebraska over Texas 20-13, USC rolls Cal, Auburn turns back Arkansas.  And Wisconsin is jumping out and taking it to the Buckeyes, John Clay running tough inside.
