Ha-ha.
Oklahoma and Oregon 1-2 in the BCS, and Boise State falls to third. Love the fact that the Broncos slipped to number three and will likely continue to slip even if they steamroll Louisiana Tech and Utah State.
If it were to hold, and there’s no guarantee it will, Oklahoma and Oregon for the BCS championship would be a very entertaining and intriguing matchup with some delicious history. The blogs and web buzz would be huge, and funnier than Itchy and Scratchy.
I have to admit, Oklahoma has had a better non conference schedule- albeit all the games were at home. It's also possible Auburn or LSU could overtake us if they run the table and with their league championship game.
ReplyDeleteSo for UO to play for the title, we have to run the table and all SEC teams have to have a loss.

ReplyDeleteAgree completely that Oregon has to run the table, and if they do, they're likely in. Only two remaining undefeated teams in the SEC, LSU and Auburn, and they meet this weekend. Auburn's likely to win, and they'd have to beat Alabama and win the SEC championship game to stay unbeaten. It will help Oregon in the BCS if Stanford wins out.
It's exciting to have the number one ranking for the first time. Looking forward to see how it all plays out. Finishing undefeated in the PAC-10 will be a huge challenge, and if they accomplish it, I don't think they'll have any trouble punching their ticket for Glendale.
What a special, special year it's shaping up to be. Oregon is on the cusp of their first potential national championship game and first-ever Heisman. A lot of plays have to be executed properly to get there, and a lot of days have to be won, but how exhilarating to be in this position.
Great to hear from you, as always.
