Post Game: Oregon 60, UCLA 13

The offense was relentless. The execution in the first half was incredibly impressive, and it was a coming-out party for Darron Thomas.

With Oregon getting this kind of efficiency in the passing game, their offense is unstoppable. They're spreading the field sideline-to-sideline and vertically, and the weapons and variety they achieved tonight are simply stunning. Eight different players were responsible for scores, and the starters sat out the entire fourth quarter. James had an efficient 20 carries for 123 yards and two touchdowns, added a 25-yard pass reception, and Remene Alston added 75 yards on 8 carries and 3 touchdowns.

Darron Thomas had his best game as a Duck, 22-31 passing for 308 yards, 3 touchdowns and no interceptions, while adding 5 carries for 48 yards on the ground.

Clearly Chip Kelly and his staff are seeking wins, development, effort and balance, and no thought's being given to pumping LMJ's stats. In all the Ducks got 312 yards passing and 270 on the ground, and they spread the ball around. The Ducks scored 8 touchdowns and punted once, kicked one field goal and turned the ball over on downs once at the three, passing up a field goal to pad the score late in the third. Their longest drive was 3:37, and two took one play, the defense forcing two fumbles inside the 10. Three takeaways tonight, no giveaways, another category in which they are number one in the country.

And right now, the players and coaches are talking about USC.
