a great half defensively after a shaky start

Three of Tennessee’s last four possessions were three and outs.  In all for the second half their possessions were punt,  pick six, punt, punt, punt returned for TD, punt, punt

  1. The Ducks are just a better team. I was afraid of our lack of depth and your tempo, but I didn't see it getting this bad. The most disappointing part was the way the Vols completely lost their confidence and rolled over. They were tired and lost momentum, but there was no reason give up after they were down 14. You could see it on the players faces.

been a vol fan for 30 yrs, and cannot wait for them to get it turned around. we played great for most of a half and then the much better team prevailed.

good luck the rest of the season.

  2. Thank you for visiting and commenting. The Vols played an inspired first half but really wore down in the third and fourth quarters.

I think Dooley should have kept feeding the ball to Poole. He got away from that.

Good luck to Tennessee and particularly the Vol fans. You were wonderful hosts and gracious in your comments and contributions.

I think they've hired the right staff in Tennessee and have a committed group of players. Hopefully they can weather this storm with the NCAA and grow as a group. The penalties should follow Kiffin to USC. It's deplorable what he did there, never a fit to begin with. I'm impressed by Coach Dooley and I think he will do things in the right way.

    Best wishes,

    Dale
