1st Quarter, Washington at Oregon

Students knocked the gate over when the seats opened. Wonder if they go for the goalposts after Arizona.

Kids looked charged coming out of the tunnel.

Mike Bellotti looks bankerly in a pin-striped suit. Brock Huard leads with a comment on how great the rivalry is, and how superior this intensity is to playing Chattanooga.

Is this really still an intense rivalry? Could heat up again if Sarkisian gets the Huskies back in order, but it has cooled a lot in the last six years.

Price rolls right and throws deep. Harris has closing speed.

Third and long for the rookie. If they can't get Polk going it'll be a long day for the rookie QB.

Three and out. No bend, no break. It's clear they're going to turn Price loose, a deep post and a slant in the first three plays.

Great catch by Davis, knowing he was going to get hit.

Husky defense is hustling but overcommitting.

Stupid penalty on punt coverage, but 26 shoved Grady into the returner.

First Oregon possession was totally out of rhythm. Like a hitter trying to hit a six-run homer on every swing.

It's a little chippy for a non--intense rivalry.

Terrelle Turner is really coming on in the last few games.

Too many dang flags.

Locker is in street clothes and his jersey, coaching up Price.

Maehl flat drops one. Huskies are crashing the bubble screen. That's coming back, and Maehl's dinged up.

Too many negative plays, and an out of synch offense.

Look for Oregon to pump-fake the bubble screen soon.

Washington has a fly sweep they like to run a lot, and a wildcat formation.

The Ducks don't look like a number one team early.

That's a swarming defensive play in the flat.

Another nice tackle by Turner "in space" though I hate that expression.

Okay. C'mon offense.

Barner with a couple of carries early. Holmes is in an uncharacteristic high snap funk.

Holt is really mixing it up well for the Husky defense.

Really nice pull down by Thomas. Good chip block by Barner.

Misses a wide open Paulson.

Geez Louise. Six flags already. Bunch of 15-yarders. Slooooppppy.

Great footwork by Paulson.

And a smart throwaway by Thomas.
Blocking needs to improve, a lot. Huskies are winning the line of scrimmage.

TCU and Boise State score first.

Huskies getting all the bounces in the kicking game, punting it short and getting 15-yard rolls.

Ducks need a big play to shake loose. Line getting a push on this series.

Huskies really pressing the short routes. Look for a double move and pump fake to Huff or Maehl.

Nice to see Davis get involved in the offense today.
