Moseley Sends Up a Puff of Smoke

Duck fans are watching the Rob Moseley practice tweets this morning, and Moseley reports both Bennett and Hawkins are in red protected jerseys this morning, and neither is in a scout team jersey.

Noticed watching the game and the Wines Family Highlights that Darron Thomas has incorporated the slide and stepping out of bounds into his running style, and no doubt he'll be coached to do a little more of that going forward. Dennis Dixon was a master of getting everything the play had to offer and avoiding contact at the end, although no quarterback in this type of offense can do that all the time.

Clearly Bennett's practicing with the varsity rather than the scout team now, but will he take snaps in the Cal game if the Ducks build a lead? Cal on the road doesn't figure to be a runaway; in fact, none of the final three games do.

Coach Kelly may just try to finish the year with Thomas taking every snap, and not play a backup unless absolutely necessary.

  1. Why is "mosely" wearing a red jersey? Is he also day-today? LOL.

  2. Oops. Thanks for the correction. Of course I meant Hawkins. Never post before coffee.
